This client came to me after having her locs installed and maintained by someone who didn’t specialize in her specific hair type. While the effort was there, the results highlight how important it is to choose a loctician with the right expertise for your hair and your goals.
This client started her locs by backcombing only 6 years ago with NO maintenance since. She had a lot of tiny thin locs barely holding on that were were able to fully repair so she can continue her journey with a healthy, beautiful crown.
This client hadn’t had maintenance in over two years. She is growing out an undercut so we left those hairs loose for now but we pulled in a ton of loose hairs, combined some locs that were hanging on by a thread, and split others that were too big and uncomfortable.
