This client originally had her locs installed on very short hair with synthetic extensions attached. After about a year, she cut the extensions out. You can see the large knots that were left behind at the attachment points, caused by improper installation techniques.

For now, we’ve left those areas intact to help preserve length while we work toward a healthier foundation. We also addressed several locs that required combining or splitting due to poor sectioning during the original install.

Notably, the initial installation, including extensions, was completed in just five hours. This is a good example of how speed doesn’t always equal quality. Rushed work can lead to long-term issues like incorrect sectioning and poorly attached extensions, which often require corrective work later.
